Fall Trees

September 23, 2010

My son Isaac was recently an inspiration for an art activity.  Yucca plants grow wild where we live and as we walked on trails, I kept seeing these strange buds.  I decided to pick a bunch, even though I didn’t know what I would do with them.  The bud breaks into three sections and when I showed it to my son, he thought it looked exactly like an owl….I used his idea with third graders and they loved adding these cute critters to their fall trees.
