Wild Things

October 22, 2011

Third grade students LOVED making wild things, taking inspiration from Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are book.  We brainstormed on monster features (horns, teeth, claws, scales, crazy eyes, etc.)  They chose a 12″ x 18″ sheet of colored construction as their base for the body.   They cut paper into all shapes and sizes and glued them down to the middle section of their paper.
