Radial Designs

November 1, 2011

Fifth graders needed two class sessions to complete these stunning radial designs.  They folded a 12″ square piece of paper so it made 8 pizza slices.  They drew their name or initials into one section of the paper.  They traced their design with black crayon and used the old method of copying their design onto the other seven sections by folding their paper and rubbing with a popsicle stick, which transferred their designs nicely.  Some chose to use their name within the design but most chose to use their three initials.
